Chorus and Cake

Many of you reading this will remember with great affection the ‘sing-a-long’ which Prim and Tony Waite used to hold several times a year in St Francis’s church on a Sunday afternoon.  It has been decided to offer something similar which, hopefully, will appeal to many, especially those living alone or housebound.  (Transport can be provided for those who would otherwise be unable to come.)

Four or five times a year, from 2.30 to 4.00 p.m. at St Francis’s church, there will be tea, cake singing and companionship, with a hymn and prayer to close the afternoon.  The first of these afternoons, which we are calling’ Chorus and Cake’ will be held during the Harvest season on Sunday 5 October, and the second in the New Year on Sunday 11 January.  We hope that you will come and can assure you of a very warm welcome.

So that we have an idea of numbers to expect and transport requirements, please let Sue in the Parish Office know if you are coming, or Jo Hillier 92346678 or Carol Workman 92523984.
