St Mary's Alverstoke

Christmas Tree Festival

11am to 7pm

Friday 11th December 2010

to

Sunday 12th December 2010

The Church will be open for the Festival between 11am and 7pm on each of the three days. We expect to have the building filled with about 70 Christmas trees, all with fairy lights and decorated by individual sponsors, who will pay for the tree, which we will provide.

The Church will be darkened except for the light from the trees and the effect will be breathtaking!

Musical entertainment will enormously enhance the atmosphere within the Church during the Festival with music playing inside the building throughout the periods when the Festival is taking place; this will be provided by small groups, or individuals, performing mostly for about half hour periods.

This will be a real community celebration with any profits we make going to the Shaping the Future Fund.

If anyone reading this would like to help with the million things to be done for the Festival please let Sue Simpson know in the Parish Office (02392 580551), or Richard Thorne (02392 585137) - we need all the help we can get!

Also, if you would like to provide some of the musical entertainment, or if you know of someone who would like to do so, please click here for more details.
